The Impact of Artificial Intelligence Applications on Developing Critical Thinking Skills Among First-Year Middle School Students In Social Studies

Abstract
The aim of the research is to identify the effect of artificial intelligence applications in developing critical thinking skills among first-year middle school students in the social studies subject. The research was conducted on a sample of first-year middle school students consisting of (69) students within the General Directorate of Education in Baghdad / Al-Rusafa 2. The researchers chose an experimental design that included two groups (experimental and control). I was rewarded on variables (chronological age, prior knowledge, and critical thinking), The variables that could affect the dependent variable were also controlled procedurally. The researchers prepared a scale for critical thinking consisting of (28) items. Extract its validity, reliability and psychometric properties, Then it was applied to the basic research sample at the end of the experiment, using the (T) test for two independent samples. The results showed that there were statistically significant differences between the experimental and control groups in favor of the experimental group. The researchers made some recommendations and suggested some proposals
