Legislative Frameworks for Combating Drugs: A Look at Local and International Laws

Abstract

The drug phenomenon is a global challenge that requires a comprehensive and integrated legal response. This research aims to review and analyze the legislative frameworks for combating drugs at the local Iraqi and international levels. The research focuses on highlighting the interaction between national laws and international agreements, shedding light on criminalization and punishment mechanisms, and preventive and therapeutic measures. The research also addresses recent developments in legislation that seek to achieve a balance between strict control and human rights.
