Abstract
This research examines a man of science and knowledge who contributed significantly to the history of this nation, strengthening its foundations and building its civilization. This elite group truly enriched this history with numerous remarkable achievements. Al-Hasan al-Basri was not a man whose story is unknown to us. He was well-known in the scientific, religious, political, and social spheres. He was a staunch advocate of peace and an opponent of evil, aggression, and injustice, regardless of its source. He maintained direct contact with caliphs, governors, and princes. Some, like the eighth Umayyad caliph, Umar ibn Abd al-Aziz (99-101 AH), loved him and corresponded with him. Others harbored resentment and enmity towards him. Many people loved him and gathered around him, where he stood as an eloquent orator and wise advisor
