Abstract

This research focuses on studying the chemical properties of the soil in Abu Ghraib district by taking soil samples from the study area (both terraces and basins) and conducting laboratory analyses on them, comparing them with World Health Organization standards. These properties are: Total Dissolved Salts (TDS), Electrical Conductivity (EC), pH, Organic Matter (Om), Positive Ions (Calcium Ca, Magnesium Mg, Sodium Na, Potassium), Negative Ions (Chlorides Cl, Bicarbonates HCO, Carbonates CO, Sulfates SO, Phosphates PO, Nitrates NO). It is essential to understand and determine the levels of these elements before each planting season to avoid the problem of agricultural land degradation
