Abstract
Undoubtedly, creative texts, particularly poetic ones, require a meticulous reading to unveil the aesthetics they contain. Our research, entitled "Aesthetics of the Simile Image in the Poetry of Hassan Abdul-Baqi Al-Mawsili," falls within this scope. It examines the images and similes embedded in his texts, which he employed as scenes based on the contrast between the subject of the simile (Al-Mushabbah) and the object of the simile (Al-Mushabbah bihi), and the degree of contrast between them. At times, the former predominates over the latter; sometimes they are equal; and in other instances, the subject predominates over the object, though this is very rare.
