Abstract

There are reasons that led to a decrease in water in coming, such as human causes (building dams, establishing irrigation projects by neighboring countries, bad, water management, and increasing population) in addition to physical causes and factors represented by climate (temperatures and rain), as it became clear By analyzing climate data for rainfall from the year (1992-2022), There is a discrepancy in the total values of rainfall at the stations and that the general trend of rain has a negative impact, as the study confirmed that the correlation between the studied variables was negative and the highest correlation was for Baghdad and Al-Khalis stations, reaching (0.200 - 391) respectively, and that the decrease in water incoming,The water supply of the Tigris and Euphrates rivers has a direct impact on the ecosystem in Iraq, as it affects (water salinization) and the decline in the area of agricultural land in Iraq by (40%).
