Reflections of Globalization on the Formal Transformations of Fabric and Fashion Designs

Abstract

Art is a means of human communication , but its dissemination and transmission remain limited by the mechanism of application. Design is a part of this art, but its dissemination and transmission are faster than other art forms due to its application mechanism, as it utilizes materials commonly used daily. Therefore, the first chapter addresses the research problem by posing the following question: "What is the role of globalization's impact on design vocabulary in shaping the formal transformations of fabric and fashion designs?" It also outlines the research objective, scope, and definitions of terms. The second chapter covers various themes, while the third chapter details the methodology, research procedures, and sample analysis. The fourth chapter presents the research findings, the most important of which are:                                     

1- All the design models demonstrated a reliance on human forms, but not in their realistic (static) forms, These forms moved towards dyna mism and away from conventional attributes, employing digital printing technology  ,thus creating formal transformations that reflect the trends of globalization.

2- Formal reductions have facilitated the emergence of previously unknown shifts in the design compositions of fabrics and clothing, particularly among young people (men), thus contributing to the rise of globalization trends with behaviors aligned with demographic changes This has led to the following conclusions, recommendations, and proposals.
