The Term "Nafaqah" And It's Derivatives In The Holy Qur'an : A Grammatical Study

Abstract

Since spending in the way of Allah constitutes one of the defining characteristics of true believers and serves as a profound manifestation of sincere faith and faithful obedience to the divine commands, expressions related to expenditure occupy a prominent place throughout the Holy Qur'an. In the light of this significance, this study seeks to examine these expressions from both grammatical and semantic perspectives. The research is organized into an introduction and two main sections. The introduction explores the concept of "Nafaqah" from both linguistic and terminological viewpoints, While the first section focuses on nominal expressions associated with expenditure, and the second examines its verbal forms within Qur'anic discourse.
