Abstract


In this research, I spoke about the Atabeg of Damascus and the political situation in the Levant from (497 AH-549 AH), and this period is considered one of the important periods in the history of the Levant in general and Damascus in particular. And it reaches the Levant without trouble except in some cases that could not stop this crusader attack so that in a very few years it could establish four emirates (Edessa, Antioch, Jerusalem and Tripoli) and when the Muslims woke up from the horror of the shock after they were in continuous conflicts regarding The struggle between them during this period was intense between the Seljuk sultans over assuming the throne of the Sultanate after the death of Malik Shah, and the same struggle existed in Asia Minor between Kilij Arslan, Sultan of the Seljuks of Rum, and Ghazi ibn al-Danishmand.
