Abstract

Arabic dictionaries represent an important source in linguistic and literary studies, and its aim was to collect the language’s words and define their formulas and meanings, and what is sometimes presented to them in terms of the differences between the dialects of the tribes, or the differences between the opinions of the people of the language, or the like. language) is a step towards studying the impact of these dictionaries, and it came in three sections: the first topic: in the concept of dictionaries and their definition linguistically and idiomatically, then the second topic came: in explaining the impact of dictionaries according to their schools in the growth and development of the language by applying some of the vocabulary that these dictionaries dealt with, And the third topic: on models of modern dictionaries, and the conclusion came to include a set of results reached by the research, followed by a list of sources and references that he benefited from.
