Abstract

The Lebanese political reality reflected different periods of coexistence and conflict between most of the sects and minorities in Lebanon, which led to witnessing important events that made the Lebanese divided and different about their identity.
The Lebanese election laws are based on two basic principles: recognizing the legitimacy of sectarian affiliation and giving each sect its right to parliamentary seats in advance. Our study of the sectarianism of the parliaments in Lebanon does not imply a narrow view of the Lebanese society, but rather a scientific necessity to monitor this phenomenon and its formative structures that made it a base that does not threaten Not only the Lebanese, but also threaten other Arab societies
