Context and conveying meaning in the Iraqi theatrical show
Main Article Content
Abstract
The context constitutes an important aspect in understanding the discourse, and what is meant here is the theatrical performance, through the indications that the context provides to the recipient, which are relied upon to complete the apparent meaning with the hidden meaning. The image that the two parties hold about the other is crystallized, in addition to the fact that it represents the events that they have previously lived through, and the verbal and actual exchange in which the communication process is involved. That is, the context comes through everything that surrounds the saying in terms of social and psychological conditions and various circumstances and situations. Understanding is achieved based on what the context provides them with. Each text has its own codes that distinguish it and through it.
