Abstract
The research aims to identify (the effect of the idea-harvesting strategy on deductive thinking among fifth-grade female students in science), and for the purpose of achieving this goal, the following null hypothesis was developed: “There is no statistically significant difference at the level of significance (0.05) between The average scores of the experimental group students who studied according to the idea harvesting strategy and the scores of the control group students who studied according to the usual method in the deductive thinking test.
The research community included fifth-grade primary schoolgirls in the morning government schools affiliated to the General Directorate of Education in Baghdad / Rusafa First for the academic year (2021-2022). One of the students of Imam Abi Hanifa Al-Numan Primary School. The research sample amounted to (50) female students, with (25) female students for the experimental group, which studied according to the usual method, and (25) female students for the control group, which were studied according to the idea harvesting strategy. Previous achievement of science subject, intelligence test) and the research tools were prepared, which is the deductive thinking test, The coefficient of difficulty, discrimination, and the effectiveness of the wrong alternatives for its paragraphs were calculated, and the results were acceptable, and the reliability of the research tools was confirmed, as the reliability coefficient of the deductive thinking test was found (0.81). As follows, there is a statistically significant difference between the experimental and control groups in the deductive reasoning test in favor of the experimental group, and by using the T-test for two independent samples, the results of the research showed the superiority of the students of the experimental group over the students of the control group. In light of the results of the research, the researcher recommended a set of proposals, including the necessity of conducting a similar study to the current study on other study stages and other dependent variables
