The effect of Presseisen's model on the achievement of middle school students in mathematics

Abstract

This research aims at learning the example of Presseisen in the achievement of intermediate school female students in are introduced :


No important statistical differences at 0.05 level among the average of female student marks who studied by Presseisen method and level among the average of female student marks who studied by traditional method in achievement test . chosen .The research sample was consisted of 58 female students from second year intermediate school in Al Jazeera Intermediate School for girls in the studying year 2022-2023 distributed into two groups one is experimental studied on  Presseisen model  (29) female students  and the other is control studied on traditional method   (29) female students . subject and the high ranked thinking  skills test was applied on both groups by using suitable statistics.  The results show that there are important statistical differences .between control and experimental groups in math test and in  high ranked thin  a number of conclusions were reached, including teaching Mathematicssusing the (Presseisen) model has a positive effect on the achievement of female students The experimental group and their acquisition of higher order thinking skills.  A several  recommendations and suggestions, the most important of which is the inclusion of the content of the mathematics book for the second year  Intermediate intermediate scho, didactic activities, help to integrate the teaching of thinking in the content through Presseisen's model, and thus the impact of this training on learners' achievement will be transferred fromsrlf thinking , then this type can be included As they solve the questions, they include ideas of the questions in the tests.  In addition to conducting training courses for male and female teachers in  Mathematics subject  .How to use the Presseisen model in teaching by means of holding courses and training seminars during the service, and making it within the vocabulary of a subject (Modern direction in teaching) in the faculties of education and basic education in order to get acquainted with the Students during their preparation for service and the most important proposals, conducting a similar study to research different mathematical topics and other stages of study. And a comparative study between some of the above thinking strategies and between (Presseisen) model and judge its preference. Conducting a study same as  the subject studying the impact of the Presseisen model on other dependent variables such as motivation towards achievement, the attitude towards the material, and deductive thinking among female students Intermediate school in mathematics
