The narrative formula in Ali Badr's novel Baba Sartre
Main Article Content
Abstract
The novel Baba Sartre by the novelist (Ali Badr) takes place in Baghdad about the character of Abdul Rahman or the philosopher of Sadriyah, who was passionate about Sartre's existential philosophy, and began to imitate him in everything in order to be identical to him. After failing to study for a doctorate in existential philosophy at the Sorbonne University, he returns to Iraq with a French wife. The novel mocks the sixties generation and absurd intellectuals, as the research seeks to reveal how to construct the narrative formula of the novel according to Gerard Genette 's narrative method in his book The Discourse of the Story.
