Academic Success Skills of Kindergarten Students
Main Article Content
Abstract
A student's possession of academic skills can act as a protective factor against the pressures and demands of university life. It alleviates student distress, anxiety, and depression while promoting mental health and positive psychological performance. This is what Peirce emphasized: that a student's desire and motivation to acquire the necessary skills for studying and learning (Peirce, 2004:77-79) and master them increases their self-efficacy and reduces the expenditure of excessive time, effort, and anxiety. Furthermore, the results of a study (Lister et al., 2022) showed that a lack of academic skills will affect mental and psychological health, and the heavy workload and lack of discipline will trigger anxiety, stress, depression, distress, and exhaustion in students (De Henau, 2024:119).
