Abstract

The research aims to identify “The Effectiveness of Nargis Hamdi Model in Acquiring Literary Concepts and Developing Final Thinking among Students of Fourth Grade Scientific”, to achieve the objectives the researcher formulated the two following hypotheses:

  1. There are no statistically significant difference at the level of (0.05) between the average grades of the female students of the experimental group who study the acquisition of literary concepts in the model of Nargis Hamdi and the average grades of the female students of the control group who study the literary concepts in the traditional way in the post-test of the acquisition of literary concepts.

  2. There are no statistically significant difference at the level of (0.05) between the average grades of the female students of the experimental group who study the acquisition of literary concepts in the model of Nargis Hamdi and the average grades of the female students of the control group who study the literary concepts in the traditional way in the post-test in final thinking.

The research sample consisted of (66 female students) from Al-Arwa Al-Withqa Secondary School for Girls, divided between two groups, section (a) representing the experimental group with (33 female students), and section (b) representing the control group with (33 female students). The researcher equaled statistically between the two groups in the variables (the test of final thinking, chronical age, and the academic achievement of both parents), then the researcher identified the scientific material and formulated (66) behavioral objective, and prepared teaching plans for literary concepts.

The researcher prepared two tools, the first tool is a post-test in the acquisition of literary concepts and test of final thinking. The test were verified their validity and stability. The researcher used statistical means (T-test for two independent and equal samples, Ka2 square, difficulty and discrimination factors of objective paragraphs, effectiveness of wrong alternatives, and Pearson Correlation Coefficient  to calculate stability, and equation of the size of the impact ETA square).

The results showed after being processed statistically, that the experimental group studying according to the Nargis Hamdi model was superior to the acquisition of literary concepts and the development of final thinking.

At the end of the experiment, the researcher reached up with a set of conclusions, recommendations, and suggestions in which he emphasized the effectiveness of the Nargis Hamdi model in improving the level of acquisition of literary concepts, and suggested similar studies of other variables and other stages of study.
