Abstract

The study aimed to identify (the effect of the Swartz model on developing critical thinking among students of the Institute of Fine Arts in Aesthetics). The researcher adopted the experimental design, and the study sample consisted of the students of the Institute of Fine Arts, fourth grade, the theater department, who numbered ( 20 ) male and female students, who were deliberately selected. The students were divided into two groups, one of them is control and the other is experimental. The two groups of research were equal, and the pre and post test for critical thinking was set, and after making sure of its validity and stability, it was applied to the study students after carrying out the experiment to achieve the goal of the research . The most important results of the research, including: The superiority of the experimental group students who study aesthetics according to the ( Swartz ) model over the students of the control group who study the same material in the traditional way is due to the steps of the ( Swartz ) model that Contribute to the development of thinking and concepts for a longer time. In light of the results that have been reached, the following can be recommended: - Using modern models to supplement the educational process and support the teaching process. These models can deliver study materials to the minds of students and keep them. Accordingly, the researcher suggests conducting a study of the Swartz model in other variables, including:
