The effect of the strategy of the five- and seven-year learning cycle according to complex exercises in learning some types of basketball scoring

Abstract

      The teaching strategies and methods used by the teacher are considered one of the most important aspects of the educational process, and each method has a specific role in the development of students in terms of physical, skill, emotional and cognitive aspects. The percentage of dependence on a method depends on the type of skill and the educational situation and the student. Modern strategies, methods and methods in the physical education lesson and how to invest them in accordance with the requirements of the practical material, given that the physical education lesson has two sides, the theoretical side and the practical side, so these strategies must be invested. Basketball scoring, identifying the effect of the strategy of the five-and-seven learning cycle according to complex exercises in learning some basketball scoring skills, and identifying which two groups are better (the first experimental and the second experimental) in learning some basketball scoring skills. The research hypothesized that there are statistically significant differences between the results of the pre-tests and the results of the post-tests of the Two groups (the first and second experimental) in learning some types of basketball scoring, in addition to the presence of statistically significant differences in the results of the post-tests between the two groups (the first and second experimental) in learning some types of basketball scoring and in favor of the first experimental group among the members of the research sample. The researcher used the experimental method by designing the two equal equal groups, and the research sample amounted to (50) students from the second stage in the Department of Physical Education and Sports Sciences - Al-Salam University College for the academic year 2020/2021, as they constituted (27.77%) of the original population, they were divided randomly and in a manner The lottery was divided into two groups (control and experimental) with (25) students for each group. As for the experimental group, the educational units were applied according to the strategy of the five- and seven-year learning cycle and amounted to (10) educational units, with an educational unit per week, the time of the educational unit (90) minutes . The researcher concluded the superiority of the experimental group to which the strategy of the five-and-seven learning cycle was applied over the control group that applied the curriculum followed by the subject teacher in learning basketball scoring skills. The researcher recommends emphasizing the use of modern strategies, including the strategy of the five-and-seven learning cycle in the physical education lesson for the university and secondary school stages, to learn basketball scoring skills because of their positive and effective role.
