ينظر الى الرياضيات من قبل الكثير بأنها مادة صعبة في تدريسها او في استيعاب المتعلمين لها ويعود احد الاسباب الى الاعداد غير السليم لمعلمي المدارس الابتدائية مما يؤدي الى سوء اداء التلاميذ وكما اشارت دراستا العزاوي 1995 واحلام 1998 ان هناك انخفاض في التحصيل الدراسي في مادة الرياضيات ومن اسباب ذلك:-
