Publication Guidelines for the Journal of the College of Basic Education (Researcher’s Guide):

1. The journal publishes scientific, humanitarian, educational, and psychological studies following established scientific research methodology and recognized procedures.

2. Researchers must adhere to academic integrity and proper scientific usage when quoting or benefiting from books, journals, international information networks, or AI platforms, while following the guidelines of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) and adhering to citation policies that require precise documentation of all sources. Only directly relevant works should be cited, avoiding unjustified self-citation or preferential citation, and any form of manipulation or coercive citation is prohibited.

3. Research submitted must not have been previously accepted for publication in another journal; otherwise, the researcher bears full legal responsibility.

4. The length of humanities research should not exceed 25 pages, including references, tables, figures, and appendices. Scientific research is limited to a maximum of 15 pages. The publication fee is 100,000 Iraqi Dinars, with an additional 10,000 Iraqi Dinars for electronic indexing. Any additional pages incur extra fees of 3,000 Iraqi Dinars per page.

5. To promote academic and cultural cooperation regionally and internationally, research submitted by Arab and foreign researchers outside Iraq is published free of charge.

6. The structure of the research must follow the journal’s approved format. The researcher must provide an abstract in both Arabic and English, each not exceeding 200 words in a single paragraph. The abstract should include:

   • Research significance

   • Reasons for choosing the topic

   • Research problem

   • Objectives

   • Main hypotheses

   • Scope, population, and sample

   • Main data collection methods

   • Main statistical tools

   • Key findings

   • Recommendations

7. The research title and reference list must be written in both Arabic and English.

8. Footnotes should follow the APA (American Psychological Association) style in-text: (Author’s name, page number, year of publication).

9. Keywords should be provided in both Arabic and English, ranging from 3–6 words.

10. Researcher information must be provided in both Arabic and English, including: researcher’s name, academic title, specific specialization, workplace, email, and mobile number. For co-authored research, a written consent from all co-authors is required.

11. Research must be submitted via the journal’s website in a Word document. The font should be Times New Roman (Arabic and English), size 14. Footnotes in parentheses should be in bold; main headings in size 16 bold. Page margins should be 2.5 cm on all sides.

12. Researchers may not modify any information provided to the journal at the time of submission, whether related to the research or personal details.

13. Researchers may request a refund and withdraw their research after deducting fees corresponding to each stage of submission (indexing, language review, scientific review).

14. The research is sent for editorial review to select two reviewers specialized in the field and a language editor.
