The Impact of The Sage Circle Strategy on Literary Text Analysis Among Fifth-Grade Literary Students

Abstract

This research aims to investigate the impact of the "Hakim Circle" strategy on literary text analysis among fifth-grade literary students. The research population consisted of secondary and preparatory school students affiliated with the Al-Rusafa II Education Directorate in Baghdad Governorate. The researcher selected a random sample of 45 fifth-grade literary students from Al-Fatih Preparatory School for Boys. The researcher used the "Hakim Circle" strategy as the dependent variable. A literary text analysis instrument was developed, consisting of 20 multiple-choice questions covering topics in Arabic literature for the first semester of the 2025-2026 academic year. The researcher presented the test items to a panel of 16 experts, 80% of whom approved them.

The researcher used a range of psychometric properties and equations, as well as the SPSS software package. The researcher recommended the use of the "wise circle" strategy in developing Arabic literature skills for students in preparatory school and other educational levels. The researcher also offered several suggestions and recommendations that may be incorporated into the educational process. Furthermore, the researcher found statistically significant differences, with the calculated t-value (5.668) being greater than the critical value (2.000) at the significance level (0.05) and with 73 degrees of freedom. This indicates statistically significant differences favoring the students in the experimental group.
