The Haste in the Holy Qur’an and its Harms Study and Analysis

Abstract

It is asking for something before its time without slowing down and thinking about the consequences of things . So the results lead to regret and failure . Allah the  most Almighty said : “ Man was created from haste ” (Chapter of Al-Anbiya , Verse 37 ) . It means that a person is naturally hasty . So he must fight this satanic trait. Because this is evidence of the strength of his faith and his love for the Creator ( The Almighty) and his contentment with his decree and destiny. We have discussed this topic and its harms in the Book of Allah the most Almighty the Most High , also in the sayings of our Noble Prophet Muhammad (May Allah’s prayers and peace be upon him and his family) and scholars

In addition to taking the scientific material from some references and sources are related to the subject . Where the order of the subject study was as follows  :

• Introduction: It included a study of the Haste linguistically and terminologically.


• The first section: It implies a study of the haste in the light of the noble verses that indicate it.


• The second section: It contained the harms of haste, its causes, what was reported from the noble hadiths of the Prophet, the sayings of the Imams (Peace be upon them) and the opinions of jurists regarding it . All of which confirmed that it is behind every evil and mistake that a person commits.


• The third section: We discussed in it how we can get rid of the haste . And mentioned the use of some of the prophets (Peace be upon them). As the individual can escape from it through culture, especially religious ones, reading stories are relevant to the haste in order to take a lesson, to learn from, to follow the paths of the prophets and the righteous , to seek refuge from Satan while facing life's circumstances, to learn patience , slowness , to listen to the advices of others who have sound minds and are confident . Where to use the grace of reason , to abandon anger, anxiety , tension, be patient and have good relations with people , to reject jealousy and not to look and think about what others have , such as have confidence in oneself and in one's abilities and to avoid delaying duties .Whether they are... religiously or in work, asceticism from the world , its desires and turning to good deeds that put him on the right path leading to the satisfaction of Allah the most Almighty ( May His praise be glorified) and His eternal Paradise. We also talked about the haste of some prophets ( Peace be upon them) such as the haste of the Prophet of Allah “ Adam “ ( Peace be upon him) in immortality, the haste of Moses ( Peace be upon him) with Al-Khedher (Peace be upon him), as well as the haste of the Prophet Younis (Peace be upon him) with his people . Where their haste was the cause of falling in sin and loss.


• Conclusion and research’s results :


• There is an interconnected relationship between the haste linguistically and idiomatically .


• Allah (Glory be to Him) emphasized to abandon this characteristic in the Holy Qur’an in many verses, such as all the prophets, scholars and jurists also emphasized avoiding it.


• A person successfully achieves his goal through careful decisions and not through hasty decisions.


• It is the reason for the wrath of Allah (Glory be to Him) . Because He (Glory be to Him) urged us to be patient . So whoever submits to it will lose the reward.


• It negatively affects a person because of the disappointment and frustration that results from it. He becomes unable to live properly and his life is in danger.


• Because of it , a person may neglect an obligation or do something forbidden, such as not performing ablution correctly or completely when praying

6- Recommendations:

• Individuals must refine their character and exercise patience. When angry, they should refrain from making any decisions to avoid future regret.


• One should acquire diverse knowledge and sciences, especially religious knowledge, to understand what God (may He be glorified and exalted) has forbidden in the Holy Quran, including haste. This also applies to the noble sayings of our Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and the teachings of scholars.


• It is essential to remember that haste is a result of Satan's whispers. He lies in wait to cause one to make mistakes and fail, preventing them from achieving their desired goals.


• Individuals must realize that God (may His glory be exalted) has commanded and enjoined patience, rewarding and compensating for it in this life and the hereafter. He (may He be glorified and exalted) does not love those who are hasty and prone to error, as this leads to His wrath (may His glory be exalted).


• It is obligatory for a person to follow the approach of the great Messenger, as he does not delay any work or duty in all aspects of his life, not just religious duties such as prayer. A person should follow his example and perform his affairs and duties on time, so as not to fall into haste and mistakes.
