Main Article Content
Abstract
The research aims to identify the effect of the (Good & Lavoie) model in imparting artistic concepts to students of the Art Education Department in the subject of Communication and Informatics.
The research sample consisted of (56) male and female students, from the fourth stage, distributed between two classrooms. Hall (1) represented the experimental group, with (28) male and female students, and Hall (2) represented the control group, with (28) male and female students The researchers adopted an experimental design with partial control based on two equal groups (experimental and control) The pre-test and the post-test are the same because it is considered appropriate to the goal of the research and its hypothesis. The two research groups were rewarded with variables (gender, chronological age (in months), intelligence test, previous experience), and the researchers prepared the research tool (the achievement test for artistic concepts). The pre-test is the same as the post-test, and it verified the validity, reliability, difficulty factor, discriminating power, and effectiveness of the false alternatives. The experiment lasted eight weeks, after which data was collected and statistical methods were used. It was found that the model was effective in students acquiring artistic concepts. Accordingly, the researchers recommended employing the model because of its effectiveness in the educational process and because of its role in acquiring concepts.
