Abstract

Effective teaching is the cornerstone of a successful educational system, as its role extends beyond simply imparting information to shaping the learner's personality and developing their intellectual and social abilities. Childhood is a central focus for educators and educational institutions, a manifestation of human activity, a natural phenomenon, and a fundamental need that drives the individual to work, move, and be active, as children aged (5-6) years love to compete with each other through play. The objectives of the research are to prepare educational units according to effective teaching of basic motor games in kindergartens for children aged (5-6) years, and to identify the effect of effective teaching on developing basic motor games in kindergartens for children aged (5-6) years. Regarding the research methodology, the researcher used the experimental method. The researcher defined his research population as the children of Al-Bashair Government Kindergarten/Nasiriyah - Dhi Qar for the academic year 2025-2026, and their number is (85) children distributed over four sections, namely (A, B, C, D). The research sample, consisting of (43) children, was selected. Two sections (A, D) were chosen randomly by drawing lots, so that section (A) would represent the control group and section (D) would represent the experimental group. (18) children were selected from each group, so that the number of sample members would be (36) children. The sample for the pilot study was (7) children. The most important conclusions are that the effective teaching prepared by the researcher contributed to the development of the child's basic movements, as evidenced by the rates of development. Motor games have a positive effect on improving the basic movements (running, jumping, throwing) of children. The recommendations were the necessity of using modern models and strategies in the educational process because of their effective role, and the effective organization and scheduling of motor games had an effect on increasing enthusiasm among children.
