The impact of the strategy of multiple intelligences in the achievement and motivation of students of the middle stage in the subject of art education

Abstract

     The present research seeks to identify the impact of the strategy of multiple intelligences for the achievement and motivation of students of the first grade average in the subject of art education.


    In order to achieve this goal, the researcher has followed a set of experimental method, where the researcher identified the province of Diyala in the district of Baquba Center for middle school students who receive art education material, the researcher has selected a sample of students size (61) students from medium or safety.


    The researcher has built an achievement test consisting of (30) paragraphs, and the researcher has extracted a set of basic psychometric characteristics of (sincerity, discrimination, difficulty, stability), and to realize that the change in the experimental group is due to the impact of multiple intelligence strategy. The researcher has a set of parity between the two groups in (age, intelligence, educational attainment) to ensure that the change is not due to extraneous factors.


      After the researcher was assured of the equivalence of the two groups, and the completion of psychometric characteristics of the achievement test, the researcher applied the experiment to the research sample. The researcher reached the following


Conclusions:


1-The members of the experimental group studied in accordance with the strategy of multiple intelligences over the control group, which studied the way lecture in the academic achievement in the subject of art education


2-The members of the experimental group studied according to the strategy of multiple intelligences over the control group, which studied the lecture method in the motivation towards learning in art education


3-The effect of the strategy of multiple intelligences in raising the level of academic achievement and motivation towards learning among first grade students in the medium of art education


Recommendations:


1-Organizing periodic training courses in the field of modern teaching methods in the Ministry of Education and its official institutions in order to keep pace with scientific development in the field of teaching methods and strategies.


2-Conduct conferences and workshops that illustrate the best ways to increase students' motivation towards studying art education


3-Attention to the intermediate stage as it represents the adolescence stage among students and a lot of psychological, physical and cognitive fluctuations


Proposals


Based on the findings of the researcher, we suggest the following:


1-The impact of the strategy of multiple intelligences in the achievement of art education among primary school students and their attitudes towards it.


2-The effectiveness of an educational program based on the theory of multiple intelligences in the achievement of preparatory stage students in art education.
