Abstract

Linguistic structures mean the ability of the human language to formulate sentences and phrases of words even if they do not know the rules by which words are arranged in sentences according to them, or they are a set of laws and principles that define the meaning of every possible sentence that can be formed in the language, and linguistic structures are important parts of  the rules by which words are arranged in sentences according to them, or they are a set of laws and principles that define the meaning of every possible sentence that can be formed in the language, and linguistic structures are important parts of The structure of language emanating from a mental organization and the product of a number of creative, non-mechanical, mental processes within the mind whose effect is expressed through words and sentences  .    


The objectives of the current research are to identify                                        


.1 The level of language structures in children  .


.2 The development of linguistic structures in children aged (4, 6) years


3.The significance of the differences in linguistic structures according to the gender variable.                                                                                                                 


 The researcher prepared a test that measures the linguistic structures, and the research sample consisted of (100) boys and girls, (50) at the age of 4 years and at the rate of (25) males and (25) females, and (50) at the age of 6 years and the rate of (25) males and ( 25) Females. The psychometric properties of the test were verified as validity, consistency and distinction. After using the appropriate statistical means for the research objectives, the following results were reached.     


The research sample has a level of linguistic structures higher than the hypothetical average of society, and there is a development of linguistic structures for children 6 years of age higher than children of 4 years, and there are no statistically significant differences between males and females in language structures. Based on the results, the researcher presented a number of recommendations and proposals.
