Abstract

The research aims to know "the impact of the problem-centered learning strategy on the acquisition of geographical concepts and the development of perceived cognitive competence among 5th literary female students.


The number of members of the research sample reached (80) students, (40) students of the experimental group and (40) students of the control group, and the number of paragraphs of the concept acquisition test reached (54) test items. As for the measure of perceived adequacy, it reached (48) items.


As for statistical methods, T-test was used for two independent samples - and for two closely related samples - Pearson. The results showed the superiority of the experimental group that was studied according to the problem-centered learning strategy over the control group that was studied according to the usual method.
