Abstract

The aim of this study is to know (The Effect of Round Robin and Hot Seat Strategies  in the Achievement of the Second Intermediate Grade Student’s in Biology), In order to achieve the objective of the study the two researcher depended on the experimental design with  partial adjustment, The sample of the study included (94) students as( 31) students for the first experimental group which studied according to the round robin strategy, and (31) students in the second experimental group which studied according to the hot seat strategy, and (32) for the control group which studied according to the traditional method, The two methods were qualified for the three groups in the following variables (age, previous achievement in biology at the end of first course, previous information in biology). The scientific material is limited to the last three chapters of  the Biology text book taught. The behavioral objectives were (348) objectives of these were designed to represent the six levels of Bloom's classification in the field of knowledge (recall, comprehension, application, analysis, construction, and Evaluation). The study plans were then prepared for the research groups and reached (20) plans for each of the three research groups. the test were prepared, namely, the achievement test. The test consisted of (42) items of two types. The first is represented by objective tests of multiple choice type with four alternatives they were (40) items measuring three levels (recalling, understanding and applying), and two items of  essay test, represented by (41,42). The validity of the instrument was verified and the constancy of it, since data were analyzed and processed manually by the adoption of the statistical package SPSS. The second researcher taught the three research groups by herself, The experiment lasted (10) weeks, At the end of the experiment, the two researcher applied the achievement test for the three groups, and then corrected the students' answers and processed statistically analysis, as the two researcher adopted the analysis of variance and the one-way data processing statistically and Scheffé's method as the following results Superiority of the first experimental group and the second experimental group to the control group in the achievement test in biology.
