Abstract
يتضمن بحثي هذا دراسة في منهج الحافظ أبي علي الجياني وموارده في كتابه (تقييد المهمل وتمييز المشكل)، وقسمت بحثي هذا على أربعة مباحث، تضمن المبحث الاول دراسة في شخصية أبي علي الجياني من اسمه ونسبه ورحلاته وطلبه للعلم وشيوخه وتلامذته ووفاته. أما المبحث الثاني فقد أوردت فيه المؤلفات التي قام الحافظ أبي علي الجياني بتأليفها والتي جاءت معظمها في علم الحديث وبعضها في التاريخ
