Study the effect of alumina and magnesia additions on the sequestration loss property of bentonite
Main Article Content
Abstract
Iraqi bentonite was mainly used for ceramic models with additions of alumina and magnesia. Ceramic models were prepared with weight ratios (5% to 25%) of alumina and magnesia and were thermally treated at a temperature of 1300 degrees Celsius. Some models with addition ratios of less than 15% for each of alumina and magnesia did not withstand. As for the models that stabilized, the addition ratios were 20% and 25%. The isolation loss property was studied, and the results of the isolation loss showed a significant decrease when the frequency was increased.
