Abstract

The research aims to identify productive thinking and its relationship to logical-mathematical intelligence among female students of the fourth scientific grade in mathematics for the academic year 2021-2022.

The research sample consisted of (400) female students in some schools affiliated to the General Directorate of Education in Baghdad / Rusafa II, and the researcher used the descriptive analytical method.

Where the researcher adopted a test (Awda, 2020) for productive thinking, and in preparing the paragraphs of the logical-mathematical intelligence scale, she relied on previous studies and literature, the following statistical methods were used:

T-test and Pearson correlation coefficient to compare the results. The results resulted in:

1- There is a statistically significant difference at the level of significance (0.05) between the arithmetic mean and the hypothetical mean of the grades of the fourth-grade students in the test of productive thinking and the logical-mathematical intelligence scale in favor of the arithmetic average.

2- There is a positive statistically significant correlation between the grades of the fourth grade female students in the Productive Thinking Test and their scores in the Logical Mathematical Intelligence Scale.

In light of the results of the research, the researcher concluded that the level of the fourth-grade scientific female students in the productive thinking test and the logical-mathematical intelligence scale was good and there was a positive correlation between productive thinking and logical-mathematical intelligence, and recommended a number of recommendations and suggestions.
