Abstract

The current study aimed to verify the following hypotheses:

1- There are no statistically significant differences at the level (0.05) between the mean scores of the experimental and control groups on the social thinking scale after applying the program in the post test.

2- There are no statistically significant differences at the level (0.05) between the mean scores of the experimental group members on the social thinking scale between the pre- and post-test.

3- There are no statistically significant differences at the level (0.05) between the mean scores of the control group members on the social thinking scale between the pre- and post-test.

For the purpose of testing the research hypotheses, the experimental design was used (the design of the experimental group and the control group with a pre and post-test), and the research sample was selected, represented by (30) male and female students from the Institute of Fine Arts in the center of Erbil Governorate, who obtained the lowest scores on the social thinking scale, They were randomly distributed into two groups, one experimental and the other controlling, with (15) male and female students in each group, and they were equalized in the variable (father’s academic achievement, mother’s academic achievement, students’ scores on the social thinking scale). A tool was built to measure and measure social thinking. (20) paragraphs, and answer alternatives (4,3,2,1,0), respectively. The psychometric properties of the scale were verified by extracting the apparent validity, construct validity, and discriminatory validity of the paragraphs, and the stability was extracted using the alpha-Cronbach equation. Modeling method and the apparent validity of the program was extracted, and the study reached the following results:

1- There are statistically significant differences at the level (0.05) between the mean scores of the experimental and control groups on the social thinking scale after applying the program in the post-test and in favor of the experimental group.

2-There are statistically significant differences at the level (0.05) between the mean scores of the experimental group members on the social thinking scale between the pre-test and the post-test in favor of the post-test.

3-There are no statistically significant differences at the level (0.05) between the mean scores of the control group members on the social thinking scale between the pre- and post-test.

The study reached several conclusions, including: The weakness of social thinking is a problem that some students of the Institute of Fine Arts suffer from. Recommendations: Adopting a variety of activities within educational institutions that encourage the development of students' social thinking skills.
