What are the most important references in ceramic art? In addition to the importance of research and the need for it, the goal of the study is to identify the formal references in contemporary ceramics in Iraq and Sudan.
The second chapter included the theoretical framework and previous studies and contains two topics, the first is the concept of references in Iraq and Sudan, and the second is the concept of form in contemporary Iraqi and Sudanese ceramics, and the theoretical framework concluded with a set of indicators resulting from the theoretical framework, followed by previous studies. The third chapter specialized in conducting research, which included the research community and the selection of the 4 samples of Iraqi and Sudanese ceramic works, while the fourth chapter included the results of the research and conclusions as well as recommendations and proposals, among other results compared to contemporary Iraqi and Sudanese ceramics:
- The Iraqi ceramic works in the first three samples summoned sumerian and Babylonian civilization, while in Sudanese ceramics in the last three samples the Sudanese artist summoned nubian references, Karma and Maroui
- the similarity between all samples is the summoning of the Islamic reference through the use of Arabic letters and Qur'anic verses
- The impact of the environment on the artist's style was evident in the ceramic works of the Iraqi and Sudanese artist, due to environmental pressures on the artist.
