The predictive value of learning motivation in terms of moral values among students of the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences

Abstract

Motivation to learn is one of the important factors that motivate, activate and direct students’ mental activities in the learning process, and because of this factor’s importance in the learning process, serious efforts are directed to understanding the factors affecting the learning and teaching processes, and among these factors are moral values ​​that include principles And the standards that guide the individual and control his behavior in life, and according to which the extent of his effectiveness in society is determined. Islam has been concerned with moral values ​​as an essential element in learning. Thus, it can be said that moral values ​​and motivation for learning affect individuals’ performance, behavior, endurance, perseverance and achievement, and that they play an important role in students’ achievement. Based on the foregoing, this study seeks to present a new scientific addition by addressing it. The subject of moral values ​​and motivation for learning among students of the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences. With the aim of revealing the relationship between moral values ​​and students’ motivation to learn, as well as predicting learning motivation in terms of moral values, the research community included the students of the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences, University of Babylon, while the research sample included a number of college students, which amounted to (100) male and female students. Where (15) students were chosen from each stage, and thus the total became (60) students, while the number of female students was (40) female students and included (10) female students from each stage. and moral values) and after the sample answers to the paragraphs have been collected in full, they will be processed statistically in order to reach results in the light of which conclusions and recommendations are made.
